    Are short codes for ‘Block Quote’ and ‘Multi column post formatting’ available?

    Short Code menu should be available in the post edit window , I have seen this with many other themes, a ‘Gear’ icon sort of this , when clicked gives a list of available short codes for post editing, then one can select the needed one and short code drops in the editing window.

    Hi Suhas,

    Thanks for writing in!

    You can use the default Blockquote shortcode as in the screenshot here:

    and sorry that Multi column post formatting is not available yet.

    We’ll consider to add the Shortcode button (“Gear” icon) in future updates of the theme.

    Best regards,

    Hi,

    I am disappointed a bit for such a basic thing got neglected , almost all themes I checked before getting yours, come with short code for (beautiful) blog quotes , Or is it that like many other pro themes this theme also gives a step-motherly treatment to Blog?

    Anyway , I tried this code (in my post) , it worked , looked nice on my PC monitor, quite OK but on mobile screen it showed two columns too and that looks real ugly (on mobile screen it shouldn’t be showing two columns , as the screen width is hardly 3-4 inches! ) Is this related to Responsiveness?)

    My code:

    <div style=”width:48%;padding:0 10px 0 0;float:left;”>

    ….. first column text …….

    </div>

    <div style=”width:48%;padding:0 10px 0 0;float:left;”>

    ….. second column text …….

    </div>

    <hr style=”clear:both;visibility:hidden;” />

    Hope this helps,

    Regard ,

    Suhas

    Hi Suhas,

    To make this responsive, you can try to use the code below:

    2 columns:

    <div class="row">
       <div class="col-sm-6">
       ….. first column text …….
       </div>
       <div class="col-sm-6">
       ….. second column text …….
       </div>
    </div>

    3 columns:

    <div class="row">
       <div class="col-sm-4">
       ….. first column text …….
       </div>
       <div class="col-sm-4">
       ….. second column text …….
       </div>
       <div class="col-sm-4">
       ….. third column text …….
       </div>
    </div>

    Hope this helps,
    Danny
