    Hello, I am trying to use some schedule plugins bought on codecanyon/envato and I’m having issues with the Roneus theme.

    For some weird reasons, when i load the page on touch-enabled devices, I get empty (no txt inside), wrongly-placed and wrongly-colored modal popups, from 2 different calendar/schedule plugins, both working perfectly with other themes: there is something on Roneus preventing those popups to work as expected.

    I’ve been able to fix the wrong placement and color issue with css (overriding some txt color and left margin setting on classes .md-content and .md-modal), but I couldn’t figure out a solution about the empty text (note: it’s not hidden, even checking the html, those “fields” are actually *empty*, not invisible), anyway the fact that both the theme and the plugin are setting style on the same classes could be a hint of more serious conflicts

    note: in the meantime I’m in touch with some of the plugins developers/support too, but since the issue is happening with more than one plugin, and I’m having this issues with those plugins only on Roneous and not on other themes.. I’d guess the problem comes from theme, not the plugin code 🙁

    to trigger the issue, just load the page on a touch-enabled device or simulating the touch device with firefox/chrome devtools, you will see that modal popups, working as expected on desktop/non-touch devices, have no contents

    Can you help me understand what’s wrong, and eventually fix?

    Please let me know something as soon as possible, thanks

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in!

    About this issue, you can try to deactivate all your plugin (except WPBakery Page Builder and TLG Framework) to see if the problem is gone or not.

    If the problem persists, please share us your site URL and the admin account of your site via private reply below or via the contact form at https://themeforest.net/user/themelogi so we can investigate your case and help you out. Also, please share us some screenshots or screencast about the problem since I couldn’t see the popup on my mobile, I clicked on the event and it redirect to the event page! (you could upload your images into https://imgbb.com/ and share the link here).

    Looking forward for your response!

    Best regards,
    Danny

    Hi there,

    Thank you for the very detailed information!

    I’ve checked your site, and the problem was caused by the Roneous theme is using the same modal script as in your Event calendar plugin, so I’ve just modified the scripts.js file in themes/roneous/assets/js folder to fix the issue as below:

    – In line 432, find the code below:

    jQuery('.md-trigger').each(function(i) {

    … and change it into this (to not calling the script in your Event calendar plugin) :

    jQuery('.md-trigger:not(.fc-event)').each(function(i) {

    Please check your site again.

    P.S: My timezone is GMT+7, and I’ll replied all the questions within 1 working day (include weekend).

    Hope this helps,
    Danny

    Hi again,
    i see you already made the needed change, for what i can see at a glance, now it works like a charm, many thanks! I was pretty sure that you would have been 100x faster than me digging in your theme!

    (just one note: it was actually line 423, in that same file 😉

    One more question since we’re here: I can obviously re-make this mod every time you’ll issue a theme upgrade, it’s not very frequent and it’s just a line, once you know what to do it’s a easy one.. but, generally speaking, it would be very better to have it persistent through updates.. do we have any simple way to apply this in the child theme? (for what i know, the “auto-override” is a php-only thing in wordpress themes/childs as of now, so just replacing the js file in the child theme directory as you’d do with php will not work)

    Hi there,

    Yes, please don’t worry, I’ll added this JS code into next theme updates so you don’t have to update that script anymore.

    Best regards,
    Danny
