    Hello,

I noticed that my Favicon isn’t populating in Google mobile search. It now just shows a generic globe icon. However, the favicon shows up on Desktop (browser tabs).

I double-checked the Theme customize section, and the favicon is there. So, I’m not sure what’s going on.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in!

The Favicon is the default WordPress feature in Appearances > Customize, but not the theme feature. Also I don’t see your favicon element in your source code, you can try to follow the article here to upload your favicon: https://yoast.com/how-to-change-your-favicon-in-wordpress-a-step-by-step-guide/

You may want to have look at the article here for more details: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/9290858?hl=en

If the problem persists, you may want to ask WordPress support or YoastSEO support since you’re using this plugin on your site. Or you may want to disable other plugins such as SG Optimizer too.

    Best regards,
    Danny
