Dear Sir/ Madam,
1. I’m not able to import the demo content? it opens Wanium theme with an error message 404 (Sorry! This page isn’t available 404), down button (go to home page)?? Knowing that I don’t have any problem regarding server size. Also the (Demo Install) optiuon does only appear with the child theme, is that normal?
2. I have also tried the manual installation of Demo, still same problem it opens Wanium theme with an error message 404 (Sorry! This page isn’t available 404)
then when i hit back, it give this:
Sorry, there has been an error.
File is empty. Please upload something more substantial. This error could also be caused by uploads being disabled in your php.ini or by post_max_size being defined as smaller than upload_max_filesize in php.ini.
Again, I don’t have a problem on the server side
2. How can I download the child theme? and which one should I activate (Child or Main)February 27, 2017 at 2:56 am #1194
Thanks a lot for using Wanium in your project! It is very appreciate!
About the demo import issue, you may want to have a look on our FAQs page (question 1) for more details http://www.themelogi.com/tickets/topic/faq/. This may caused by your host has PHP configuration limits that are set too low to complete the process.
Please ask your hosting provider and ask them to increase those limits to a minimum as follows:
max_execution_time = 900 max_input_time 600 memory_limit = 256M post_max_size = 64M upload_max_filesize = 64M max_input_vars = 5000 allow_url_fopen on
In this case you should contact your hosting provider and ask them for a quick assistance with this via their Live Chat or Support Phone. It’s your right to ask for these updates as you paid for their service and they usually react timely upon similar requests.
The “Demo Install” option should appear in both Child and Main theme. And you should activate the Main theme in case you do not need to modify the theme files.
Also, in case you need other way to import dmeo content. Let me explain the steps to install all the demo content like in our Wanium live demo using our quickstart file:
Here you can find the direct link to the Wanium quickstart file (You can see the link in the reply box below)
The quickstart package included: WordPress + Wanium theme + required plugins + demo data. So you can just extract the .zip fie to your site folder in htdocs, and edit wp-config.php file and install the WordPress site as normal. After that, you will got the new site with Wanium theme activated & demo content ready.
Here is the details of all the steps to install the quickstart file:
Step 1: Upload the .zip file to your public_html folder in your hosting files manager and then unzip it.
Step 2: Rename the wp-config-sample.php file to wp-config.php, and edit the varialbe in this file like when you install a fresh WordPress site (please using a brand new database or drop all the tables in existing database for the new installation).
Step 3: Open up your browser and access to your site
Step 4: Follow the steps to install WordPress site (set up the site title, username, password, email,..).
Step 5: After installing the site, your demo content will be imported automatically and both Wanium theme + required plugins are activated also.
Step 6: You might want to reset the permalink in the Dashboard, and Done, you can visit your new site with all the demo content imported.
If you still can’t make it work, please share us the FTP/Cpanel account of your site via private reply so I can help you out.
Hope this helps,
